KFC QLD Breakers Men continue winning streak

16th February 2009

The KFC Queensland Breakers played the Balmain Tigers in Round 2 of 2009 National League at the Valley Pool over the weekend.

The men’s team performed well again this weekend winning both games with all players performing well. Billy Miller again top scored, netting 7 goals over the weekend.

Results:

Thursday 12th Feb: KFC QLD Breakers Men 8 (B Miller 3, A Martin, G Waterman, G Griffith, M Birch, T Jenkins 1 ) defeated Balmain Tigers 6.

Saturday 14th Feb: KFC QLD Breakers Men 12 (B Miller 4, D Streets, A Martin, J Votan 2, G Waterman, L Cranley 1) defeated Balmain Tigers 6

The Breakers women’s team played well over the weekend, but could not stop the stronger, more experienced Balmain team. Our women had their chances on Thursday night to score an upset but had difficulty finding the back of the net when opportunities arose. 

Results:

Thursday 12th Feb: KFC QLD Breakers Women 5 (N McCarthy, C Grayson, S Farquhar, K Bryce, E Armit 1) lost to Balmain Tigers 7.

Saturday 14th Feb: KFC QLD Breakers Women 7 (N McCarthy, E Bowden 2, S Horgan, E Armit,J Armstrong 1) lost to Balmain Tigers 15.

All players are enjoying the experience of our Nugget’s competition. They are enjoying the opportunity of playing with polo players from different clubs and mixed ages.
