KFC QLD Breakers Men leading the NWPL table - 9 March 2009

The KFC Queensland Breakers teams returned a week ago from their grueling road trip to Sydney having played 6 games in 6 days. The women’s team started slow but soon found their strength to win the last 3 games against the highly rated Sydney Uni and Cronulla Sharks teams. They finished the road trip with a win against Uni NSW, winning 3 from 6.

The men won all their games on the road trip but had a close encouter with Wests Magpies, when Anthony Martin netted an extra man goal with 4 seconds remaining to win 7 – 6.

The teams will host the Drummoyne Devils on Thursday 19 March from 7:30pm and Saturday 21 March from 7:15pm at the Valley Pool.

Thur 19 March : Women at 7:30pm Men at 8:45pm

Sat 21 March : Men at 7:15pm Women at 8:30pm

The Nugget Cup games will be played from 6pm on Saturday 21 March
